I was in the mood for a bit of a project when I put this together for Olivia, a day of feeling a bit flat beforehand wasn’t getting us anywhere so I simultaneously reorganised the garage whilst Olivia helped to carry the smaller bits & pieces we found to create our ‘new’ mud kitchen area. Old coffee table, originally a charity shop find, our actual coffee table for over 5 years and then just too good to let go when we needed to make more floor space for Olivia’s crawling! Vintage washing airer a bargain from a local vintage fair which I just couldn’t leave behind... I knew it would have so many possibilities! Vintage high chair that I used for a photo shoot for Little Pip last year, now doubling up as baby feeding chair and surface to put more pots and bits on... plus it looks pretty! Old drinks cabinet draw turned on its end with various pots in the holes for stashing bits and pieces. Various hooks and vintage utensils & pots. And the best thing... our ikea trofast draw fits perfectly in the top of the table (where a glass panel usually sits) as a bowl/container for all sorts of play! I’m so chuffed we created this from things we already had and Olivia has played there so often over the last couple of days... I’m sure it will only grow and extend!

We set up an ice cream station this week using shaving foam & food colouring to make the ‘ice cream’ and cut flowers as sprinkles... the other end of the day became ‘casserole’ making time with added lavender picked from the garden. The possibilities are endless!
