This rare and very beautiful antique cape is from the early 1900s! It must have some stories to tell and I wonder which special little girl mustโve have owned it, originally handmade by who, we donโt know! But it needs to be seen! It has been given the Little Pip touch with some additional vintage features including ruffled lace, a bow and doiley detail on the back.ย
Itโs not perfect, it has signs of wear mainly to the crocheted edging which is visible upon close inspection but lost in the whimsical design and in my opinions doesnโt affect the wearability. By owning a piece of antique or vintage clothing you are inheriting itโs history and its signs of age, which I think make it all the more charming!
